Shreveport Police search for suspect in brazen mid-day armed robbery

Shreveport Police are searching for information that can help lead to the arrest of the individual responsible for robbing a gas station on Bert Kouns in the middle of the day.

According to officials with the Shreveport Police Department, on Monday, at approximately 1:10 p.m. a armed suspect entered the Mobil gas station at 3100 Bert Kouns.

The suspect demanded the clerk open the register and give him the money inside. The clerk complied and placed the cash into a black and white duffle bag.

Following the robbery, the suspect ran from the scene towards the Seasons Apartments.

The suspect is being described as an African American male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt, and a black baseball cap.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $500.00 reward for information leading to the identity and/or the arrest of the suspect. Contact Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
