Village Water System to flush water mains

Updated: November 14, 2012
Village Water System with the collaboration of Haughton Fire District personnel will be flushing the water mains within the next 2 weeks. The approximate time will be 8 am.
During this flushing program customers may experience low water pressure, discolored water (red water) or brief intermittent lapses of water service. Although not harmful to drink, this discoloration can affect your laundry.
This condition is temporary and running the cold tap water for a short period of time will clear up any discoloration. This procedure is necessary to sustain a good water distribution network, water quality and fire protection.
