A Natchitoches woman was booked into CCC this afternoon, after she was arrested following a car chase in which her boyfriend, Jason East, 29, bolted from a stolen truck and fled on foot.

Tracey Thornton, 29, of Natchitoches, was taken into custody by Caddo Parish deputies this afternoon.  East is still at large.

The truck was stolen last week in Natchitoches, and its owner spotted it today on I-49. The owner from whom the truck was stolen called 911 from his vehicle, and followed the truck. He lost sight of it on Wallace Lake road.

Meanwhile, a Caddo Parish K-9 unit sighted the truck and tried to stop it, but the driver turned into Hidden Trace, jumped out and fled on foot.

East, however, forgot to take Jones, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the abandoned  stolen truck.

After approximately one hour, the search was suspended, but according to the Caddo Sheriff's office, just minutes ago a call came in that the suspect had been sighted in the Norris Ferry Road area, so the search is back on.

Thornton was booked in to Caddo Correctional Center and charged with being in possession of stolen things.
