A Shreveport Subway closes its doors temporarily after being robbed Saturday afternoon.

The armed robbery happened at the Subway on the 3700 block of Greenwood Road, around 1:15 p.m.

Shreveport Police Cpl. Marcus Hines  said a male ran into the store with a semi-automatic handgun, and demanded cash. The employee complied and the suspect then fled behind the building, headed southbound, with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video. They said the suspect was wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

A sign on the door said the store will be closed until Monday, Nov. 12.
