Tony Flowers knows you are what you eat. As the new general manager of clubs on Barksdale.
Flowers is providing healthy meals for airmen and veterans and his cuisine is quickly gaining popularity.
"It's surpassed my expectations, it was 400 dollars when I got here and it was $1100 two weeks after we started this and it keeps growing," says Flowers.
This market fresh salad
bar has 128 options, "greens, fruits, meats, but what makes ours unique is the
dried grains," Flowers points out and many items are locally grown. "Our main
goal is to get resources from the local community and keep the money here."
Next Flowers says he'll
add cuisine dining, a dinner menu and will branch off into catering events.
"The
purpose is to offer a healthy lifestyle venue but also get new people in the clubs
that haven't been here for years."
Upping the standards
and service on Barksdale and keeping airmen fit to fight.
