Dealt a Bad Hand

(Irving, TX) The Cowboys (3-4) were a fingertip away from ending the Giants (6-2) domination of the Cowboys.

Dez Bryant caught a 37-yard touchdown with :19 seconds left in the game, giving the Cowboys a 30-29 lead.

Or so they thought.

After an officials review, the catch was ruled incomplete. Bryant's hand appeared to be out of bounds before any other part of his body landed in the field of play.

Result: Giants win 29-24 over the Cowboys.

Consequence: New York takes a stranglehold on the NFC East standings.

The near-missed reception spoiled a furious comeback by the Cowboys.

New York took a commanding 23-0 lead early in the second quarter and appeared to be in full control, but Dallas rallied with 24 unanswered points between the 5:22 mark of the second quarter and the 3:43 mark of the third frame.

The Giants would respond with two field goals in the fourth quarter to take a 29-24 lead that would hold the rest of the game.

Tony Romo threw four interceptions, including one reuturned 28 yards for a touchdown by Jason Pierre-Paul.

New York forced six Dallas turnovers on the day.
