(Houston, TX) Grambling State's bid for a second straight win fell short in Houston.

Grambling lost to SWAC Conference rival Texas Southern 23-20. The loss drops the Tigers to 1-7 on the season.

The Tigers took a 20-14 lead into the fourth quarter, but watched TSU reel off nine unanswered points in the fourth quarter.

The rally started when Eric Brown intercepted Frank Rivers pass and returned it 21 yards, tying the game at 20-20.

Then with 4:14 left in the game, TSU kicker Robert Hersh drilled a 31 yard field goal to give Texas Southern a 23-20 lead.

Grambling returns home on Nov. 3rd to face Jackson State.
