Texarkana Splash Park closed for winter

By: Nancy Cook
Updated: October 25, 2012

Robby Robertson, Manager of the City of Texarkana, Texas Parks & Recreation Department, announced today that the Splash Park at Spring Lake Park has been closed for the winter season.

"We are thrilled that we were able to open the new Splash Park immediately upon completion so children could enjoy it during the recent warm weather," Robertson advised.  "We look forward to next spring when we will reopen the Splash Park for its first complete season of providing recreation and a place to cool off for our citizens."

This recreational facility was a gift to the community from several organizations that will be recognized on signage to be installed at the Splash Park.  Fundraising efforts were led by Andi Darby and Kelly Mitchell of the Wilbur Smith Rotary Club.
