(Bossier City, LA)  Written on the walls near Airline high school's weight room: "Obstacles are what people see when they take their eyes off their dreams."

Senior defensive back Jaquvis Hart has an obstacle that can't be seen, but most can't miss.

"It's amazing. You never really notice," Bo Meeks, Airline head coach, said. "That was the thing with him. Jaquvis just falls in with the rest of the guys. He does what everybody else does.

Actually, he does more than everybody else does and his most impressive feats are in the weight room.

A three-sport athlete born without a left arm. He power cleans 200 lbs and benches 175 bs.
A wrestler, runner, and starting defensive back for the football team. What's an obstacle to most is no excuse to him.

"It makes ya better, cause you can't be small," Hart said.

Hart opened his coach's eyes in the weight room.

"The first time I was really amazed, we were in the weightroom and he was doing incline bench," Meeks said. "I saw him doing 175 lbs. And that pretty much amazed me right there."

Coach Meeks reminds his players everyday that there's no excuses and there's not cutting corners here.

"I love working with Hart," Jaterious Pouncy, Hart's teammate, said. "It's amazing to see him do everything that he does, cause he cut no corners."
