The Shreveport prisoner who escaped custody Wednesday when receiving medical care at LSU Medical Center has been captured.
SPD officers took Craedel Cook, 39, into custody around 7 a.m. today, according to SPD Corporal Marcus Hines, public information officer.
Cook, of the 3100 block of Shed Road in Bossier City, was captured at the Aspen Apartments, 9730 Baird Road.
Wednesday (Oct. 17, 2012) afternoon, officials with the LSUSHC Police Department notified the SPD that a male prisoner receiving medical treatment at the hospital had escaped while being guarded by a private security company.
Cook reportedly fled the hospital in an unknown direction of travel after somehow managing to distract the guard responsible for guarding him.
He was arrested Oct. 13 for possession of a Schedule II narcotic, resisting an officer and obstruction of justice. Now he'll be facing more charges.
