Students at a Bossier
City school are lending a helping hand by showing their support to a child
undergoing a rare surgery. What makes
this even more special is the fact most of these kids have never even met 11
year old Justin Marshall.
Justin was in a
serious car accident that has required him to undergo 13 surgeries. His most recent procedure is a brain surgery
that happened Wednesday afternoon.
Students at Sun City
Elementary wore Justin's favorite color, which is blue all day Wednesday. They also decorated cards that will be mailed
to Colorado.
Justin's connection
to these students is very unique and involves the military. Starsha Adams lived next door to Justin's
family when they were all stationed in Washington D.C. She says there is an unspoken bond shared
between military families and that's why she wanted the students in Bossier to
get involved.
If you'd like to show support, the public can send
get-well cards to Justin Marshall, c/o Children's Hospital Denver, 13123 E 16th Ave,
Aurora, CO 80045. Justin will be
recovering in Children's Hospital Colorado for at least 5 days after his
surgery.
