Three men are behind bars following their arrest for multiple residential burglaries in a south Shreveport neighborhood.
Dontavious Anderson 21, of the 2900 block of Frederick Street in Shreveport, Jamariya Stafford 17, of the 2900 block of Frederick Street in Shreveport, and Deanthony Brown 22, of the 8700 block of Elbert Circle in Shreveport were all arrested and charged with burglary.
Shreveport Police Investigators have arrested three men who have been linked to multiple home burglaries in the Greenbrook Subdivision.
At approximately 1:42 p.m. on October 9, 2012, patrol officers responded to a residential burglary in the 100 block of North Greenbrook Drive.
On scene at the burglary, authorities spoke to witnesses who advised that they witnessed three men exiting the home that had been broken into.
The witness was able to provide detailed descriptions to officers, who after canvassing the neighborhood, were able to locate three men fitting the descriptions of the suspects at a park in the subdivision.
The men were detained and following further investigation, were positively identified as the suspects seen leaving the home immediately after the burglary.
Detectives were notified and launched their investigation. During the investigation, authorities learned of a second residential burglary just blocks away from the original burglary, located in the 8700 block of N Emerald Loop.
Witnesses to that burglary provided very similar descriptions of the suspects already in police custody.
As the investigation into the burglaries continued, it was discovered that the men were also the perpetrators responsible for the burglary committed on North Emerald Loop.
