SPD needs help finding missing senior citizen

The Shreveport Police Department needs your help to find an elderly woman who apparently drove away from her Southern Hills home and has not been seen or heard from since.
Betty Rich, 78, who is reportedly suffering from Alzheimer's disease, is described as a white female, approximately five feet nine inches tall weighing about 200 pounds. Mrs.Rich was last seen driving her silver 2008 Toyota Rav 4 SUV with Louisiana plates VOW876.
At approximately 5 p.m. Monday (Oct. 8, 2012), Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 1100 block of North Kirkwood Drive relative to a missing person report. On officers arrival they learned that Mrs. Rich had driven away from her home at around 11 a.m. Monday morning, reportedly heading to a friend's house.
When Mrs. Rich never arrived at her intended destination, her friend made contact with Mrs. Rich husband, who in turn notified authorities.
