A local lawmaker takes time from policy-making to teach students a civics lesson.  State Senator Barrow Peacock spent Monday morning at Captain Shreve High School.

Peacock explained how the legislative process works in the State of Louisiana.  This is part of a new initiative for legislators called the "Be Proud to Teach Program."  Peacock also took question from students about education reform and other topics.

The state senator visited Parkway High School last month.  His next stop will be Airline High School in Bossier City.
