McDowell Assumes Athletic Director Role at LSUS

(Shreveport, LA) It was the ideal situation for everyone.
LSUS needed a new athletic director following Doug Robinson's retirement in the summer of 2012. His assistant the past four years, seemed like the logical choice.
LSUS makes official what's been known for months, that Chad McDowell is the next Athletic Director of the Pilots program.
It wasn't a hard sell for either side. Aside from McDowell's decade worth of experience in the department, he's Shreveport native through-and-through.
McDowell's an LSUS alum. He became the school's first-ever basketball coach in 2003.
He graduated from Southwood High School and coached high school basketball at Byrd High School.
Before his hiring became official, McDowell hired his former player Kyle Blankenship as the school's newest men's basketball coach.
