Some fellow law enforcement officers deep-fried some fish Friday for a different cause.
The Caddo Parish
Sheriff's Office hosted a fish fry to raise money to buy Christmas gifts for
families who are on 2012's Salvation Army Angel Tree.
"It's a good thing you
know, "said Brian Monroe, of Shreveport, LA.
"There's kids in the area that needs some help, they're not going to
have a Christmas unless somebody helps support them."
"It's something I look
forward to every year," said Jack Fitzgerald, of Shreveport, LA. "My family and I and my church...we're big
supporters of this program."
The event raised
around $2,400.While our cameras were there, a representative of "Teeco Safety,
Inc, dropped off a $100 check.
The Caddo Parish
Sheriff's Office will host another fish fry at the South Substation at 9956
Mansfield Road, near Keithville on Friday, Oct. 26 from 10-2 p.m.
