Captain Neal Traweek spent the last six years in the United States Army, and is ready to become a civilian. To prepare himself he spent Thursday meeting with employers at the Hiring our Heros job fair in Bossier City.

"I'm happy for everything I've done in the military...they set me up for success and I'm just ready to move on."

Hiring our Heros was put on by Recruit Military, a company that helps vets find jobs. Mike Rollins is a vetarn who works with RecruitMilitary, which coordinated the event. He says veterans have the skills corporate America needs.

"They have the leadership ability, the drive, the dedication, the true work ethic that really makes for a solid employee."

Oceaneering, a company that builds underwater robots, attended the event to look for recruits. Darian Breaux works Oceaneering's human resources department, and says the growing company loves to hire veterans.

"We know that military guys are coming out looking for work, and they're just a great fit for us."

RecruitMilitary puts on Hiring our Heros events across the country all year long. Job fairs will be held in Dallas November 15, and in Houston December 6.
