High Winds Leave Trail of Damage Across ArkLaTex

As of midday Thursday, spokesman Scott McLeod said there were 1900 residents without power in Shreveport-Bossier and about 600 south of Haughton, but McLeod said SWEPCO hoped to almost all of the power restored by late afternoon. Heavy wind and rain overnight caused damage in a number of Bossier City neighborhoods. Two of the heaviest hit were the Meadowview and Dogwood subdivisions. Utility trucks were line the streets as neighbors worked together to clean off tree branches left on roofs and yards.
