Bowie County officers thwart small business agricultural endeavor

    A Texarkana, Texas, man's small business effort came to a screeching halt this morning, following the discovery of a plethora of potted marijuana plants, a tray of seedling marijuana plants were found growing in the bedrooms of his mobile home.

    Terry Lee Willett, 48, of Texarkana ,Texas, surrendered to law enforcement at 9:06 a.m. this morning and was charged with charges of possession of marijuana over four ounces under five pounds, which is a state jail felony. 

   Judge Nancy Talley set his bond at $15,000.  A state jail felony is punishable by up to two years in jail and up to a $10,000 fine.

 On March 24, 2012 Bowie County Patrol Officers were called to a mobile home on Aspen Street Texarkana, Texas where the mobile home park manager had found numerous marijuana plants inside the home. 

   The manager informed deputies that Terry Lee Willett lives at that residence.  A search warrant was obtained for the residence, a marijuana growing operation was found, including:

   16 large marijuana plants from the east bedroom

   9 medium marijuana plants from west bedroom

   A tray of seedling marijuana plants from the meddle bedroom

   A cardboard box containing dried marijuana was found in the living room

   Growing lights, irrigation system, & different fertilizers

   Various paperwork belonging to Terry Willett, including a 12 month lease for that address

 A warrant was issued for Terry Lee Willett by Judge Gibson Hadaway for possession of Marijuana over 4 ounces under 5 pounds.  Willett surrendered himself on the warrant this morning.
