A local ArkLaTex school could use your help in keeping its band program in tune.

Teachers at P.E. Wallace Middle School in Mount Pleasant say they're seeing dozens of additional students joining the band program, but there aren't enough musical instruments for all the students.

Educators feel they may have a solution.

The school is reaching out to the community as part of a musical instrument drive, in hopes of making sure each student gets to play.

Teachers hope to get enough donations by next week, when students start learning on their instruments.  Those who still don't have instruments by the end of the month will likely need to transfer out of the class.

Instruments in need include: flutes, trumpets, trombones, saxophones, and clarinets.

Donations are being accepted at PE Wallace Middle School, the Mount Pleasant Civic Center, and Titus Regional Medical Center.
