A local
church made a donation to dozens of people trying to rebuild their lives in the
wake of Hurricane Isaac.
The last
remaining families at the Shreveport shelter on Jewella Avenue got a big surprise. Tuesday afternoon each family received a one hundred dollar bill.
North Point United Methodist Church in Shreveport donated the money. Businessman Lester Lawler presented the families with the donation at the shelter.
