Gharbi, Chef at Twine says upgrading your average waffle recipe is easy. She suggested adding whole grain flour to your regular recipe to make it healthier. While the texture may change slightly, Gharbi says adding things like bananas, strawberries and nuts will mask any differences. If you have a gluten allergy, making waffles isn't off limits to you. Gharbi says use gluten-free flour, found easily at your local grocery store, instead of regular or whole grain flour. Again, texture can change but adding tasty ingredients will help your waffle recipe remain delicious and creative. Here's a look at recipes for three waffles that are tasty and healthy for you too.
