The 2012 Muscular Dystrophy Association's Show of Strentgh brought together amazing performers and inspiring stories of people living with Muscular Dystrophy. Locally, the ArkLaTex M.D.A. held a watch party featuring NBC 6's Nick Lafave and Leslie Draffin.
B.J. Sparks is a member of the ArkLaTex M.D.A. who at the age of three was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Now seventeen, his condition has confined him to a wheelchair, but he remains optimistic that he will once again walk. Every day the ArkLaTex M.D.A. trys to make B.J.'s dream come true by raising money for Muscular Dystrophy research.
The Show of Strength is the M.D.A.'s biggest fundraiser of the year, but they are always in need of donations. You can visit the ArkLaTex M.D.A. Facebook page, and find out how you can help by clicking here.
