More Higher Ed Choices in Region

Locals have plenty of choices when it comes to getting a higher education.   But does more options hurt existing schools?

 

There are several colleges in our region offering traditional two year and four year degree programs.  The area is also home to several "for profit" institutions.  Virginia College is the newest addition to Shreveport-Bossier.

 

Bossier Parish Community College's chancellor, Jim Henderson believes the market can handle more competition.

After the Olympics we'll break down the different options students have and also take a look at how schools thrive with the additional competition.
