Portion of Hamilton Road in Bossier closed to repair broken water main

By: Nancy Cook
Updated: August 6, 2012

A portion of the 800 block of Hamilton Road has been closed while crews with the Utilities Department work to repair a broken water main.

The closure is located just north of Scott Street. Motorists needing to access streets and businesses south of Scott Street can do so by driving north on Hamilton Road from Barksdale Boulevard. At this time there has been no loss of water service to residents or businesses in the area.

Repair crews are still in the process of assessing the situation and say the road closure may be in effect for the next few days depending on the type of repairs needed.
