Little River Historical Society seeks auction items for gala

The Little River County Historical Society (LRCHS) is seeking silent auction item donations for their annual "Two Rivers Gala" event, which will be held on August 18 at the Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Texas.

  The purpose of the Little River County Historical Society is to foster an appreciation of the rich history and cultural heritage of Little River County and Southwest Arkansas.

  The group's goal is to collect, preserves and properly display artifacts that allow maximum enjoyment and educational value of artifacts, and, to promote a sense of pride in the heritage of Little River County and Southwest Arkansas and pass that appreciation along to all future generations.

The profits from the Two Rivers Gala will be used toward the ongoing renovation of the Two Rivers Museum, 15 East Main Street in Ashdown.
