A Town Hall meeting regarding the financial challenges facing the Southern University System will be held at noon Saturday, July 21, at the Southern University Museum of Art, 610 Texas in Shreveport.
SU President Ronald Mason Jr. will share an outline, "Keys to the Future of the Southern System," to encourage discussion.
Refreshments will be served and a pair of Bayou Classic tickets will be given away by Shreveport Chapter of the Southern University Alumni Federation.
The Southern University System, the only Historically Black College and University System, has, and will be faced with tremendous financial and political challenges, deep budget reductions, enrollment challenges, increased retirement and healthcare costs, and lack of reserves System-wide.
