Police detectives are looking for a Shreveport man wanted in connection with beating his former girlfriend during what is being described as a domestic dispute.
Vincent Henderson is charged with one count of second degree battery.
At approximately 4:12 p.m. July 7, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the emergency room at LSU Medical Center in the 1500 block of Kings Highway relative to a female there who had been beaten.
Upon arrival, patrolmen contacted 19-year-old Alrika Edwards who reported that her ex-boyfriend, identified as 23-year-old Vincent Henderson, had accosted her while they were arguing at his home in the 500 block of Lynbrook Boulevard.
According to Edwards, Henderson beat her with his fists and then choked her until she passed out. At some point after the attack, she was able to get out of the residence and seek aid.
Edwards suffered serious injuries to her face and neck.
Detectives were notified and, upon further investigation, obtained an arrest warrant charging Henderson with one count of second degree battery. His bond has been set at $75,000.
