Power restored for west Shreveport SWEPCO customers

By: Nancy Cook
Updated: July 12, 2012

Power has been restored to the nearly 1,500 customers  in the Pines, Jefferson Paige and Greenwood road areas that were without power this morning.

Scott McCloud, spokesman for SWEPCO, said this week's storms have caused periodic power outages throughout the area, and added outages probably will continue until the storms move out of the area.  SWEPCO dispatches crews as soon as outages are detected or reported, and most can be repaired quickly.
