Homeless man finds home in Bi-State Justice Center

A homeless man was arrested in Texarkana, Texas, Tuesday (July 10, 2012) afternoon after a concerned citizen tipped off police to a possible burglary.
Roderick Forte, was booked into the Bi-State Justice Center on charges of burglary, evading arrest and parole violation.
At approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a suspicious person call in the 3400 block of Waco Street in Texarkana, Texas.
A black male had been observed by a citizen behind a residence holding a large bag.
Numerous officers responded to the area and within minutes a male matching the description was located on Jamison Street.
The suspect fled on foot from the officers; however, he was located and arrested after a brief chase. Items taken from the residence were also recovered. The suspect was identified as Forte, 52,, who was subsequently booked into jail.
