President Obama starts a two-day bus tour of Ohio and Pennsylvania today, amid tight polls that show him barely leading Mitt Romney.
Mr. Obama is averaging a less-than-three-point lead over Romney - within the margin of error. He'll try to expand that campaigning in the Midwest today.
On his bus tour through Ohio and Pennsylvania starting today, President Obama will try to impress working class men.
Polls show they're wavering between the president and Mitt Romney. "Because of your service and sacrifice, all of our troops are now out of Iraq," said President Barack Obama.
President Obama spent the fourth of July addressing his successes, and failures, telling newly-sworn-in citizens we need new laws that allow more immigrants to stay. "That's why we still need a Dream Act, to keep talented young people who want to contribute to our society and serve our country," said The President.
Romney tried to stay away from the hard issues on the fourth, but was questioned about contradicting his campaign. A top aide called the health care mandate to buy insurance a penalty. "The Supreme Court is the final word, right? The highest court in the land? And they said it's a tax, didn't they. So it's a tax." countered Mitt Romney, (R) Presidential Candidate.
Romney insists his own mandate in Massachusetts was a penalty - states can do that, but the federal government cannot.
Tomorrow, the focus will likely turn back to the economy, as new job numbers show how many Americans were able to find work in June.
