Shreveport Golf Pro offers introductory lessons for the ladies

It's a game everyone can enjoy.  June is Women's Golf Month, so lovers of the sport hope to bring more ladies to the game through programs and education.

Shreveport Country Club's Golf Pro, Martin Stuart, believes golf is the perfect sport to bring families, friends and spouses together in a fun, but competitive way.  He describes it as a lifetime sport, one that you can play even late in life, unlike most other sports.

Ladies often enjoy it because it can become social activity.

"We've found that ladies will play once we help them feel comfortable coming out to golf course they realize they're welcome.  It's a great place to be," said Stuart.

Ladies interested in taking up the game of golf are invited to a round of introductory lessons being taught at Shreveport Country Club by Stuart starting the Tuesday, July 10th.  To sign up, call the country club's Golf Pro Shop at 318-631-1200.
