Natchitoches man arrested for mother's murder

NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La.

A Natchitoches Parish man is arrest for his own mother's murder.

James McMahon, 21 of Provencal, was taken into custody Friday night and is charged with second degree murder.

McMahon's 55 year old mother, Phyllis was reported missing by other family.  Her body was found in her home's oxidation pond on Willie Banes Road.

Investigators believe James killed Phyliss during a physical altercation... although the exact cause of death is pending an autopsey.
