A woman accused of robbing a west Shreveport restaurant last week is behind bars.
Investigators arrested 40-year-old Jacqueline Haynes without incident Friday afternoon as she was leaving a home in the 100 block of East Jordan in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood.
Authorities developed Haynes as a suspect in the robbery of Cheng's Restaurant based on information gathered during their ongoing inquiry into that crime.
Detectives believe Haynes entered Cheng's just before 7 p.m. June 4, 2012 and accosted an employee there demanding money.
According to witness statements, Haynes acted as if she was armed with a gun and made off with an undisclosed amount of money she snatched out of a cash register there. Haynes, of the 100 block of Fred Street in Mangham, Louisiana, is also accused of robbing a Waffle House in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Haynes was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of simple robbery and as a fugitive from the Ouachita Parish sheriff's Office.
She has since been booked into Caddo Correctional Center on 1st degree robbery charges with a bond of $100,277.50, in addition to the Ouachita Parish charges.
