Lake Bistineau Salvinia Update 5-16-2012

Just 3 years ago we were at the threshold of loosing one of this state's most picturesque lakes to an evasive aquatic plant, Giant Salvinia.

But thanks to the combined efforts of The Lake Bistineau Task Force, The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Department, the Bossier Parish Police Jury, along with a little help from Mother Nature. Lake Bistineau once again can take its place as one of the most beautiful lakes in the South.
