Dying Easter eggs is a tradition many families enjoy. But Sciport representatives say there's a fun, creative and "green" way to dye eggs from things you can find it nature.
These eggs are dyed with items like blueberries, purple cabbage and the spice turmeric. The decorations are made from flowers, ferns and onion peels. Michele McKee says to dye eggs bake dye down until its rich in color. Then take each egg, press whatever item you like against it for instance a flower, then put the egg into a panty hose sleeve and secure. Dip the egg into the dye and refrigerate overnight. When you take the hose off you'll see the flower leaves a white portion where no dye penetrated, the rest of the egg is colorful.
