TISD is collecting pre-owned iPhones, iPads, and iPods to install educational apps to use in classrooms.
It's part of a new program called "Repurpose for a Purpose."
A district spokesperson says it's important in this day and age to use technology to compel students to learn.
The district says it will make sure any donated device will be "swept clean" of content before it's put to use.
Donations are being accepted at any TISD campus.
