Gingrich shares his vision with breakfast crowd

Tuesday morning, former U.S. Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich held at town hall meeting at Strawns Eat Shop Too in Shreveport.

    He addressed more than 200 supporters who gathered to hear him speak.

    Monroe, La., voter Ambia Baker said, "I think it's thrilling to be able to have Newt Gingrich come here and talk about his bold ideas and his vision for America."

  Gingrich spoke to the crowd about what he said sets him aparat from his opponents and commented about gas prices and criticized President Barak Obama.

  "Everytime you drive past one of these gas stations, you're being reminded that the people in Washington are costing you lots and lots of monet because they are adopting policies that are stupid and this president is addicted to it," Gringrich said.

    Gingrich is the second GOP presidential hopeful to hit the campaign trail in Shreveport and Bossier this week. Former Sen. Rick Santorum was in town Sunday visiting area churches, and Former Gov. Mitt Romney will be her Friday for a fund raiser.

    The town hall meeting ended with a brief question and answer session with the audience.

Baker said, "We have an opportunity to be able to look at each of the individual candidates and to determine who is the best one to help save our country."
