BATON ROUGE - LSU's 2012 regular-season finale against Arkansas has been officially moved from Little Rock to Fayetteville, it was announced on Friday.

Arkansas has hosted LSU in Little Rock every other year since 1994. It will mark just the second time in the 57-game history between the teams that LSU and Arkansas will meet in Fayetteville. The only other time came in 1992 when the Razorbacks beat the Tigers, 30-6, in what was their first year in the Southeastern Conference.

Arkansas' on-campus football venue - Donald Reynolds Razorback Stadium - seats 72,000 fans compared to the capacity of 53,955 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

The LSU-Arkansas-LSU game is currently scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 24 but it's expected to be moved up a day to Friday, Nov. 23 once the preliminary television selections are made by the league and the networks. A decision on the date of the game could come as early as March.

With the addition of Texas A&M to the league and the moving of the Arkansas game to Fayetteville, LSU will play in two stadiums in 2012 that they haven't visited since the 1990s. LSU last played in College Station in 1995, falling to the Aggies, 33-17, in the first game under Gerry DiNardo.
