U.S. Secretary of Defense to visit Barksdale AFB

Leon Panetta, U.S. Secretary of Defense is scheduled to visit airmen at Barksdale Air Force Base Friday.

     Panetta will hold an All-Call to thank airmen for their efforts in operating, maintaining and supporting the long range strikemissions performed by the B-52H Stratifirtressm B-2 Spirit and B-1B Lancer bomber aircraft.

    During the All-Call, Panetta will present medals to airmen who have swrved in Afghanistan and other overseas locations. He also will meet with Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command officials and receive briefings on global strike capabilities.
