MOBILE, Ala. - Lennon Creer has been added to the Senior Bowl roster and will play on the South Team coached by Mike Shanahan, the Senior Bowl announced late Monday.
Creer, a two-year letterwinner at Louisiana Tech, will wear jersey number 33 for the South Team on Jan. 28 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium (capacity 40,646) in Mobile. The game, set to kickoff at 3 p.m. CT, will be televised on the NFL Network with SiriusXM broadcasting the game on SiriusXM NFL Radio, channel 88.
The Tatum, Texas native is one of five running backs on the team along with Mississippi State's Vick Ballard, Clemson's Chad Diehl, Baylor's Terrance Ganaway and Florida's Chris Rainey. Creer is one of nine non-AQ players on the team's roster.
Creer ran for 838 yards on 198 carries and nine touchdowns in 2011 for the Bulldogs while catching 18 passes for 93 yards and one touchdown as Louisiana Tech won the 2011 Western Athletic Conference Championship.
Team practices and workouts all week long will be televised live on the NFL Network with the South Team practicing from 4:30-6:30 p.m. CT Tuesday through Thursday.
