"People make their New Year's
resolutions and they're in the gym January 1st getting it on so it's definitely
our busiest time of year," staff member Michael Kaplan says.
"Everybody wants to get fit, I mean it
definitely one of the best things you can do is workout healthier for you so I
think New Year's resolutions to get fit is always a good thing," SrA
Michael Vargas.
But even though staying fit is part of
their job, staff members say Airmen have the same problems civilians do when it
comes to sticking with a workout plan.
"There's a motivation factor that goes
into it, people don't tend to see immediate results they get frustrated and
stop," Kaplan says.
But all that could change when a 12
month, 1.5 million dollar renovation is unveiled this week.
Airmen like SSgt Tinisha Lawson , who's
resolution is to lose 25 pounds, say they can't wait to try the new gear.
"The treadmills are cool, they have
landscapes on them you can plug your I-pod in so I'm really looking forward to
that."
Helping airmen get fit to fight for
our country and their health.
