By: Import User
Updated: February 5, 2007
Police tell us the shooting was a result of an argument between one of the victims and the suspect. One of the shooting victim`s family members was fighting back tears. When Felicia Brown heard her mother had been shot she asked police what happened. "I came down here rushed down here, nobody wanted to tell me about my mama." The victims Ella Mari Brown and Draper Washington were both taken to the LSU hospital with gunshot wounds. Both were found in separate homes. The suspect in this shooting Neal Romar Birdsong was hiding out for close to forty minutes. Crime scene investigators and Bossier police used that time to question witnesses. One finally told them where Birdsong was. They found him inside a home on Beverly street and took him into custody without a problem. Bossier police tell us the weapon used in the shooting was a shotgun. The suspect, Neal Romar Birdsong was charged with attempted second degree murder, aggravated second degree battery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
