Security forces from all over the country competed for top honors at Camp Minden today.

It's part of the annual Air Force Global Strike Challenge.  NBC 6 News got exclusive coverage of the competition.

Nine elite security forces teams competed in the mental and physical competitions, demonstrating a range of combat, survival and reconnaissance skills.  The events covered two miles and included things like pushing a 1200 lb. humvee the length of two football fields, dragging victims to safety and estimating the distance to targets.

They were evaluated on endurance, agility and accuracy in timed events.

Winners will be announced during score posting Tuesday and Wednesday at Hogan Hall on Barksdale Air Force Base.

Participating teams are from Malmstrom AFB, Mont; Minot AFB, N.D.; F.E. Warren AFB, Wyo.; Whiteman AFB, Mo.; Dyess AFB, Texas; Ellsworth AFB, S.D. and Barksdale AFB, representing Air Force Global Strike Command, Air Combat Command and Air Force Reserve Command.

The LA National Guard hosted provided the facilities for today's challenge.
