An alleged car thief thought he had devised a perfect plan to make some quick cash. But Texarkana police were one step ahead of this guy. A teenagr was hanging out with her friends this week when her keys went missing. A day later her new SUV followed suit. Kayla Riddle thought her vehicle was long gone until she started receiving calls on her cell phone. The person on the other end said they wanted 250 dollars for information on where Riddle could find her stolen vehicle. She went to police, who then sent an undercover officer to meet up with the crooks at a nearby mall. Detective Kim Weaver was driven to the stolen vehicle. A short time later Courtney Wade was arrested and is being held at the Bi-State Justice building on a felony theft charge. Riddle says she happy to get her vehicle back. "I really thought my car was gone. I still can`t believe this person would take my car then call me," Riddle said while clutching her keys. Riddle is still a little nervous about the whole situation. Her house keys are missing. She plans to change the locks as soon as possible.
