How to Write a Stand Out Press Release--$29

Are you a company representative looking to improve media coverage and relations? This course will teach you how to produce well-written and effective press releases to get your messages, products, and services recognized.

 

Customer Service 101--$59

Customer Service 101 will focus on providing the foundation of skills and attitudes necessary to build good customer relationships. Topics include the importance of first impressions and appearances, listening to customers and meeting their needs, building customer relationships, resolving customer complaints, recognizing how attitude affects customer behavior, developing telephone etiquette, and reading body language.

 

Multicultural Marketing--$49

Designed to educate participants about the changing marketplace and the need for marketing programs that reach an ethnically diverse audience. Participants will learn types of initiatives to implement that will successfully reach niche audiences.

 

Media Coaching 101--$49

Ideal for individuals who act as company spokespersons or desire to be on-camera or on-air experts. Participants will learn tips and guidance for successful radio and television interviews; how to master the media interview to their advantage and identify common interview mistakes.

"Friendly or Good Bacteria" & Your Overall Health--$49

Come learn the role of probiotics and how it can have an effect in disease prevention. Probiotics are live microorganisms that are referred to as the "friendly or good bacteria" that have everyone talking about overall health and wellness. Intestinal bacteria plays a critical role in such functions and any imbalance of bacteria has the potential to affect health and cause disease. This course will review intestinal bacteria, its functions, and when and how to properly use the prebiotics and probiotics.

BPCC RECEIVES MAJOR GIFT FROM ENCANA OIL & GAS (USA) INC.
Encana Oil & Gas Company (USA) Inc. is investing in the future of the energy industry in Northwest Louisiana with a contribution to Bossier Parish Community College's Capital Fund.  The $425,000 donation will help jumpstart the building campaign for the new Center for Integrated Engineering Technologies (CIET) Building.  The new structure will house the Oil and Gas Technology programs, the Engineering program, the Construction programs, and the Advanced Manufacturing/Industrial Technology programs.

BOSSIER VOLUNTEERS GUILD DONATES TO BPCC FOUNDATION IN SUPPORT OF NURSING STUDENTS

On Monday, October 3, 2011, the ladies of the Bossier Volunteers Guild (formerly Christus Schumpert Volunteers Guild) donated $10,000 to the BPCC Foundation to support students in BPCC's nursing program. Since 2003, members of the Guild, also known as the "Pink Ladies" have donated $1,000 - $2,000 annually toward the scholarship fund to recognize eligible students in the medical field.
