Authorities are waiting for autopsy results for final confirmation, but say 5-year-old Corinthian Houston may have been burned alive. Sunday investigators found the boy`s body bound, burned and dumped at an abandoned home in Red River Parish. Sheriff Johnny Norman says the says 26-year-old Terrence Carter has "pretty well confessed" to the brutal crime. "We still got an investigation going on," said Norman. "The best we can tell is it was girlfriend boyfriend deal.. and the only motive we can come up with is maybe he was trying to get back at her." Investigators say Carter and George Herring, III abducted the boy from his grandmother`s home in Natchitoches late Saturday evening. Hours later the boy was dead. Terrence Carter was taken to the Red River Parish Jail, where he`s facing charges of first degree murder and aggravated kidnapping. George Herring was driving the van used in the abduction. He`s being held in Natchitoches on aggravated kidnapping charges. Corinthian Houston`s body was taken to LSU Medical Center for an autopsy. Preliminary results are expected early next week.
