The Sisters Book Clubbing got together and packed boxes full of hair care products and other items, including toiletries and books.
Volunteers from the Postal Service were there to help.
150 boxes will be shipped to the Middle East.
Organizers say it's a way to give back to African American women serving in the military.
"With the heat and the sun their hair gets very dry and a hair care company donates all the hair care products so what we do is buy postage and other items to go into the boxes," says Tannie Bradley, Sister Soldier Packing Coordinator.
This was the third annual Sister Soldier Packing Party.
