Josh Marcisz joins NBC-6 as the weekend meteorologist and will also report during the week on weather and environmental happenings throughout the ArkLaTex. Josh is originally from Phoenix, Arizona but has lived in every time zone in the continental United States. Growing up in South Florida daily thunderstorms sparked his interest in the weather at an early age. Josh is no stranger to how the weather can impact the ArkLaTex, he lived in the Gulf region in 2005 when Hurricane's Katrina and Rita brought their impacts. Along with hurricanes, he has experience forecasting in areas where tornadoes, blizzards, and sunshine are the rule. Josh joins us after spending three years as a producer and fill-in meteorologist for KUTV in Salt Lake City, Utah. Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology/Geography from Arizona State University where he is a member of the ASU forecasting 'Hall of Fame' for top finishes in daily forecasting competitions. Strangely, Josh is looking forward to the blazing hot summers offered up by the ArkLaTex. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, general trail exploration, water sports, and like many in the area, college football. You can email Josh at JMarcisz@ktalnews.tv |
