This year's annual African American history parade didn't miss a beat, for all who attended.
"The different things, the beads, the candy the babies they love the music," explained Franzetta Peace, about what she enjoys at the parade.
Peace attends each and every year, "It's uplifting, it's uplifting and it's enjoyable."
Parade founder, Barbara Norton said aside from the floats and fun, the event highlights the heritage of African Americans throughout the country.
That's something we always look forward to," she said. "Giving our children a chance to be apart of their own history."
Shante Maddix agrees, "Martin Luther King and what they went through, we done came along ways."
"23rd annual African American parade, we thank God for the weather and we thank God for the success of today," concluded Norton.
